Enhanced Industry Emergency Response, Rescue & Command

The Soteria Group delivers a structured emergency preparedness framework for high-risk construction and infrastructure environments through the Enhanced Industry Emergency Response, Rescue & Command (EIERRC) programme.

EIERRC integrates medical response, rescue capability and incident command leadership to ensure site teams are prepared to respond effectively to serious incidents in complex working environments. Delivered through a collaboration between Radius Group, The Soteria Group and Intervention Rescue, the programme brings together specialist construction knowledge, medical trauma expertise and technical rescue capability. Unlike generic workplace training, EIERRC is designed specifically for environments involving work at height, tower cranes, heavy plant interaction and restricted access locations.

Compliance Does Not Equal Preparedness

UK health and safety legislation requires employers to provide adequate and appropriate first aid provision based on workplace risk. However, construction and infrastructure projects present challenges far beyond those found in low-hazard workplaces.

Incidents on these sites may involve:

  • Work at height

  • Tower cranes and complex lifting operations

  • Heavy plant interaction

  • Restricted access environments

  • Delayed emergency service access

Critical Response for High-Risk Sites

In these conditions, the actions taken in the first critical minutes following an incident can significantly influence outcomes. While basic workplace first aid may satisfy minimum requirements, high-risk construction environments often require technical rescue capability, structured medical response and clear on-site command before emergency services arrive.

EIERRC has been developed to ensure emergency preparedness is proportionate to the risks present on site, providing practical training aligned with real construction conditions.

  • Emergency medical personnel in orange uniforms and blue gloves providing aid to an injured person at an outdoor construction site.

    IMTER

Industry Medical & Trauma Emergency Response
