FORESTRY FIRST AID

The forestry first aid course is ideal for those who work (or intend to work) in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers. This course follows the Level 3 Emergency First Aid At Work framework with the added Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification which meets the standards outlined in the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy. TSG have then tailored this course to add specific risks, hazards and treatment for those that work in  outdoor or remote environments.

This short, yet informative course provides learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural and outdoor specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease.
