Enhanced Industry Medical & Trauma Emergency Response (EIMTER)

4 Days

For higher-risk sites, complex lifting operations or projects with elevated consequence profiles, “adequate and appropriate” provision requires deeper capability.

Enhanced Industry Medical & Trauma Emergency Response (EIMTER) is the flagship medical programme within the EIERRC framework. It bridges the gap between First Aid at Work and advanced pre-hospital care.

Developed collaboratively with Radius and Intervention Rescue, this programme goes significantly beyond basic first aid and focuses on:

  • Construction-specific trauma physiology

  • Mechanism-of-injury recognition

  • Prolonged casualty care

  • Structured clinical decision-making

  • Integration with technical rescue operations

  • Safe patient management until statutory handover

Training is scenario-driven and built around foreseeable construction incidents rather than classroom hypotheticals. Delegates develop the competence and confidence to manage serious injury within complex environments, supporting both Resilience & Preparedness and Immediate Response phases of the EIERRC model EIERRC Framework-2.

This is medical capability designed for sites where consequence is high and delay is likely.
